PATHFINDER ASSESSMENT

This Pathfinder Assessment is intended to help leaders and coaches understand the patterns and insights revealed by the Pathfinder™ Individual Leadership Assessment.

 

The assessment is designed to raise an individual’s awareness of their leadership approach and how they can develop balance and enhance both their performance and their sense of well-being.

 

Our approach measures multiple layers of the subject. We begin with an overall theme, noting the broad patterns of leadership behavior our subjects most strongly identify with. We then explore the connections between areas of strength and limitation. Then we dive into the detailed patterns of the individual’s unique leadership signature and discuss the polarities that may hold them in stuck patterns, repeated over time and across different positions or roles. Finally, we identify growth pathways that will allow the subject to develop greater balance and health in their leadership approach. This can improve personal and team performance in transformative ways.

 

As with any self-reported assessment tool, Pathfinder relies on the insight of the individual to assess their own preferences and approaches. We all have blind spots, and so this tool can be used in conjunction with a 360° assessment that allows peers and colleagues to add their perspective to an individual’s self-assessment. The results from these tools can be aggregated and complemented with a Team Report that shows how the sum of the parts, as well as holistic metrics of team performance can provide whole divisions with a pathway for growth, development, and continuous improvement.
